Why Legal Change ?
Reaching positions of power is a privilege available to some, invisible to others. Unfortunately, we do not live in a world where access is always granted on merit. On the contrary. Explicit and implicit discrimination, microaggressions and systematic hurdles put up walls around decision-making spaces. Becoming a lawyer is a long path, but who can step foot this trail? Is there only ever one entrance into the field? Do all of us who do not correspond to a certain mould need to adapt ourselves to fit through the door?
The law is an ever-evolving field, and with its evolution, comes change. We wish to be, and encourage all those believing in a diverse future, to become the pioneers of change. For this reason, we hope to inspire the thinking surrounded the legal field, with professional and academic role models who through their presence and their actions contributed to the fundamental changes taking place today, and in the future. We work with the diversity and inclusions departments of businesses, international organisations and law firms, as well as specialists in various fields to create a space for debates and discussions, as well as theoretical and practical workshops to encourage broader thinking, enhance existing skills, inspire new skills, and open opportunities for prospective lawyers of all backgrounds.
